It's smaller than Orcas or San Juan Island, with a total of just 29.8 square miles.It's the first ferry stop from Anacortes, so you don't have to wait so long to get where you're going! Plus, as you may have heard, everyone waves -- cars, bikers, and walkers and hikers -- it's just what you do. Lopez is fairly level, making it popular with recreational bicyclists. Fewer tourists visit Lopez as compared to the two larger islands, and it offers wonderful Bed & Breakfasts, a resort, great restaurants, and the same fantastic scenery and views of nearly every Island in the county.
