With only a few hundred year-round residents and a two parks to visit, there is not much tourist traffic, even during the summer months when the population jumps significantly on the other Islands. There are a few miles of paved road, but you won't find lodging or any other tourist accommodations except for the Shaw Island County Park, a primitive campground with 12 sites. Shaw is a great place to visit for the day, to see beautiful scenery amidst a quiet , low-key community.
