Beach Scenery, 4th of July Beach

4th of July Beach, San Juan Island, Washington.

4th of July beach entrance sign, San Juan Island, Washington. The beach scenery here is unique because of the long expanse of pebbly shoreline and the serene, calm waves. Great place for paddling around in a canoe or kayak, and for wading in the shallow, very calm water. This lovely, long beach is often calm in the evenings when South Beach, just across the road, becomes windy and cold.

This is a somewhat less traveled park though certainly not because of geography or allure. It's a sweet, tranquil place, definitely a must see.

There is a grassy area for picnics and frisbee next to the parking area, and pit toilets along the path to the beach.

Trail to the 4th of July Beach, San Juan Island, Washington.

From here you can jump back to Beach Scenery to see more beaches, OR return to Simply San Juan.
