Skateboarding Parks
San Juan Island

There are Skateboarding Parks on three of the San Juan Islands. The Park in Friday Harbor, on San Juan Island has well-designed skate ramps and is great for BMX bikers, also. It's a good-sized park, with challenging elements, both small and large transitions, and a fairly deep platform. For all you skaters out there, it's great to know there's a Skate Park to visit when you're here. The park is open during daylight hours, only.

Interested in skateboard tricks? No matter your skill level, there's actually a science to it! If you like to know the 'Why?' of things, read what these science types say about tricks and defying gravity.

Get a look at some of the other parks on the Islands: Lime Kiln Park, San Juan Island Family Park, San Juan County Park, American Camp National Historic Park, English Camp National Historic Park, and Moran State Park.
